Start with the essential knowledge used to understand skin, prepare a clean treatment area, organize professional tools, select basic products, and perform a structured foundational facial service.
The Introductory Facial Course explains the core knowledge behind a professional facial service. Students study facial history, skin anatomy, Fitzpatrick classification, visible skin conditions, sanitation, commonly used tools, skincare products, and ingredient functions.
The program then connects those subjects to the ASFA Signature Facial, including treatment-area preparation, cleansing, gentle exfoliation, massage, masking, finishing products, client comfort, home-care guidance, and professional service presentation. Extractions, fruit enzymes, hydroxy acids, men’s facials, devices, and luxury treatments begin in the higher course levels.

Yes. The approximately 60-hour program is completed online through video lessons, reading, assignments, guided practice, quizzes, and review. Lifetime access lets you return to the material whenever you need a refresher.
Yes. Students who successfully complete the required coursework and assessments receive an ASFA certificate identifying completion of the Introductory Facial Course.
